Blogging i$ Fun

I started blogging about 4 years ago. In the beginning I just want to have a venue to publish my thoughts. I love to write. Ever since I was in high school I always wanted to become a writer. During those years I write my thoughts and poetry on a note pad or a notebook. Until computers came out and online diary became the new note pads and notebooks. My literature professor told us that we must aim to publish ourselves in any possible way we can. Poetry is not poetry until it is published. A simple write up is not a write up until it is published. A writer is not a writer until his or her work is published. Anyway, as I was trying to "publish myself" through blogging, I met new friends in the blog sphere. And they introduced me to a whole new list of benefits that you get from blogging. Apart from being "published", which was for me is the number 1 benefit you get, did you know that you can also make money through blogging? Yes, surely you can. I did and still earning through it (wink, wink). I started earning money through blogging a few months after I put up my blog. There are a lot of ways to earn money through blogging, but base on my experience, I earn extra cash from the ads that are posted on your blog and from paid post.

Earn Money from Ads. You can earn money by posting ads on your blog. You can see sample of these ads on the side bars of this blog. I also got one on top and one below (scroll down to see it). You can sign up to these advertising companies as affiliates. And as an affiliate, you just need to place a banner or two on your blog. It is important that you place this banner on a strategic place or spot in your blog. That is what advertising is all about, it has to be seen by your target market. And this way, the possibility that your ad banner will be noticed and "clicked" on is high. The goal is to reach your target market and to catch their curiosity. Catching their curiosity means they must click on the ad banner and explore more about the product or services that is being advertised. More clicks means more extra cash (wink, wink).

Earn Money from Paid Post or Paid Blog. Most of my earnings from blogging come from paid post or paid blog. What is a paid post or a paid blog? Let me try to define it based on my experience with paid post. Paid posts are post or write up that carries a keyword-link which connects your reader to the website of the products or services that is being advertised. Your post or write up may be directly about the keyword-link or may be something related to it. For as long as the keyword-link is properly used in a sentence and is not out of context. Paid post or paid blog is also a form of advertisement. It has specific instructions. Your post must also follow the required number of words, which is usually from 60 words to 300 words. There might be some special instructions that will be given, and you must follow them carefully. Otherwise, your work will be rejected and you're not going to be paid. Oh, you must also finish your post on or before the deadline. How much do they pay per post? Price range per post is from $5 to $15. There are also special assignments that might cost more than $15, but of course there are also special instructions that goes with it.

Right now I receive regular assignments from one of the known paid blogging companies in the US. There are a lot of them nowadays, to name some - Pay per post, PayU2Blog, Blogsvertise and Socialspark. You can be part of these paid blogging companies by becoming a member. Each of them has their own set of qualifications and rules on how to become part of their group or how to become a member. Some may require a Page Rank and a high traffic ranking. Others may also require bloggers to have their own domain name and that your blog must be 3 months old. In my experience, I was required to have at least 30 posts on my blog to qualify. They might also require a nice blog layout. These requirements might sound pretty hard to prepare, but I am telling you, it is all worth it. Truth is it will also take time before you earn money from blogging. It also takes a lot of hard work and patience. Earning from blogging is not only about putting up a blog and complying with the requirements, it definitely doesn't stop there. You need to maintain your blog's page rank and traffic rank. Otherwise, the earnings will also stop. You need to promote your blog so people will visit them.

Oh I almost forgot, you might ask how do you get paid for your work (big grin). You need to have a paypal account. There are also other paying solutions online that some of the paid blogging companies use or they are affiliated with it. You just need to find this out once you since up with them.

Basically that's how you earn from blogging. I hope I am able to give you a good idea on how to start a blog and earning from it. These are all based on my experience. Blogging is fun for me, not just because I earn extra cash from it, but mostly because I really love to write. The blog sphere has been my "refuge". It is where I share and publish my other side (wink, wink). And one of the benefits of blogging which I also love is the new people and friends you meet in the blog sphere. Though we don't see each other and met in person, we became good friends. I guess that's because we "speak the same language" (big grin), and we all believe that Blogging is Fun!

Jack is Back!

Look who's back! :D Jack is back for a visit. Just for a visit though. He's now staying at the house of my niece's friend. And last weekend when my niece's friend came over to the house for a visit, she brought Jack with her.

My niece does not have the patience to take care of their pet. And so she just told her friend that Jack should stay to their house instead in ours. I wish I could also say that when I don't want to take responsibility of something (big grin). Well, I guess my niece is not much of a pet person.

Anyway, the first thing Jack grabbed (literally), when he got inside the house was his feeding bottle. He used it before as his drinking bottle. He was still small back then and he still needs to have a drinking bottle so my niece bought him one.

He probably missed that bottle so much. He munched and play with it all day long. I can't wait to see Jack again. He has grown big and fat since the last time I saw him (before he left the house). He is still very playful, as in super hyper active.

Left of the Middle

Here's a song by Nathalie Imbruglia - "Left of the Middle", which was also the title of her album. I have a cassette tape of this album. I used to collect cassette tapes before CDs and DVDs came out (now you can start doing the math and find out my age [big grin]). Anyway, this is a very interesting song. Short but it says a lot. Enjoy.

Intervention. I Need.

Sleepy. Tired. Restless. My eyes are heavy. I just want to lay in bed (I wish I could). I just want to sleep all day. Last night I had nightmares. Not sure if you can call that nightmares. I can't move my body. I was screaming but nothing's coming out, no sound. Nothing. I don't know if the nightmares are caused by the things that's been running inside my head. There's been a lot, as in a lot of things in my head lately. Maybe that's why I am restless. I tried to ignore 'em. Apparently, my efforts are futile. I kept myself busy but these things in my head won't go away. Perhaps I was just tired. Physically and mentally. Making me unable to think right and feel right. I don't know exactly how to describe everything I have been going through lately. They're just too many. Too much. I am trying to at least let them out here now. Because I can't tell. I can't share. No one to tell it to. No one to share it with. I tried, but it just made me feel worst. One thing I learned from this experience, you can never count on anyone else but yourself.

Haircut

I had a hair cut today. I need to have one because the ends of my hair are already dry, and unpleasant to look at. Now all the remaining curly hair are all gone. But that's alright, I will just have it curled again soon, when it is long enough for curling (big grin). I also have bangs now (wink, wink). It has been a long, long time since I had bangs (big grin). I think I was still in elementary school when I had bangs lol. Anyway, I like my new hair cut. My head feels light (not much weight coming from the hair??) {big grin].

Washed It All Away

I had a long day today. Actually it ain't actually over yet, because I still got a few more things to finish. I was running around, trying to finish all my errands for the day, while it was raining cats and dogs. Though I was busy I still can't help thinking about what happened earlier while I was in the middle of all these things that I need to complete today. Oh, for a few minutes I was able to forget about the thing, and that was when I am eating grilled chicken burrito [big grin]. As soon as I got home, I started washing the thoughts away. I washed it all away (NOT!) [big grin]. As I was washing the water containers, my mind starts to wander (again) uncontrollably. The good thing about it, I was too occupied by my thoughts I have become unaware of the time, and was amazed to see that I have washed all the 20 water containers!

Friendship

Ever since I resigned from my regular job and focused more on my business, I now schedule errands all in the same day and try to make the most out of the time I spend outside or away from my store. I have become attached to our store already [big grin]; and whenever I would be out for a long time I started to feel worried and anxious to get back home. I guess that's just normal especially if it is the only source of income that you got [wink, wink]. Anyway, about a couple of weeks ago, I had this errand day. I got out of the house at 8:30am, off to my first assignment. I finished my first assignment right before lunch time. It was not successful as I have expected it to be but anyway, I still got a long list of to dos for the day so I need to keep focused. My second assignment turned out just fine. The third one too. I had a business meeting with an old colleague. And just when I was about to leave for my final errand, my colleague started to share a story. Apparently my dear friend's been going through some family problems. I was surprised that my friend would share something too personal to me. Or maybe I just didn't expect it. Anyway, I was not able to do my final assignment for the day because I had to stay and talk with my friend. And I am glad I stayed. As I was walking home, I feel proud of myself. Proud and happy. Proud because of the words of wisdom that I was able to share to my friend (which surprises me actually, I never thought that those wise words would come out from me hahaha...); happy because somehow I was able to help my friend.

Marcus Uniforms - Dickies Scrubs

I was trying to help my friend from finding a scrub suit which she needs when she starts her hospital training or when she starts to go on duty in a hospital. Nursing is actually her second course in college. She took up business management right after high school graduation because her parents asked her too, but my friend really wanted to become a nurse. That is why now that she can support her own studies, she is now pursuing her dream. Anyway, as I was trying to find her a nice scrub suit (I was hoping to show her some photos and suggest that she just ask a seamstress to make a scrub suit for her), I came across this nice looking dickies scrubs from Marcus uniforms. The site not only offers uniforms and scrubs, you can also find shoes and medical accessories too! I showed it to my friend and she got all excited. But when she realized that we had to order the items online, she gave me a cold stare (big grin). Anyway, I just told her that atleast now, in case she'll be able to work as nurse in the US, she knows where to buy good scrubs and accessories (wink, wink).

Irony of Love

I just want to share the story of my friend. She told me that I can write about it, so now I am sharing it to you (wink, wink). Like me, my female friend is also single. She had relationships before. And her story that I am about to share is about her past boyfriend and the special someone she had right now. The special someone is not her boy friend. She adores him, but she is not sure if the guy feels the same way for her. Anyway, my friend shared a couple of instances which she finds ironic. One time she was talking to her special someone, trying hard to keep the conversation going. These are the moments when you wish would never end. And that time would stop so that there won't be any interruptions that may put it to an end. During the same moment, my friend's past boyfriend was also trying to communicate with her. As my friend put it, it was like she was chasing after this special someone and here comes her ex-boyfriend chasing after her. It actually reminded me of that scene in the movie My Best Friend's Wedding. Though we were laughing as she shares her story to me, I can feel my friend's pain. I know somehow she is affected by the situation. But I also know that she'll be fine. She's been through a lot already, and such simple situation won't get her. And besides, we are always here for her (wink).

Scala Rider G9

I was doing my usual web surfing today hoping to find something about financial services when I accidentally clicked on a link or an ad [not quite sure what it is and how it happened] and ended up in a site called competition accessories. I saw this communication device that looks like a headset. Its called scala rider g9 headset, which apparently are used for helmets. I think it is for motorcycle riders who are into competition of some sort (big grin). The headset is a communication device for bike riders. Anyway, the site is really interesting. I had to check on every tab to see what's the competition accessories are all about. Boys, oh I mean, men would definitely enjoy the site. Motorcycles are like bicycles in a more elegant form (wink, wink). And motorcycle equates boys *erase* men (big grin). Oh well, there goes my research on financial services [wink, wink].

My Birthday Card

This is the birthday card my niece gave me last week (sweet!). She gave me this together with the birthday cake, she and her friend bought for me.

It is actually a musical card (not sure if that's what it is called) [big grin]. It plays the Happy Birthday song whenever you open it. The card is still on plastic. My niece did not put any personalize message on it. But that's fine, it is really the thought that counts (wink, wink).

Gold Coins Online

I am back here. I know it has been a while since the last time I was able to update this blog. Pardon me my dear followers, I have been busy these last few weeks. My part-time job is really taking a lot of my time and I am beginning to wonder why I am calling it a part-time job if its taking much of me [big grin]. I am not complaining; I am just sharing. Anyway, as I was busy doing my research about money changing, remittance center and pawnshop, I came across this site called Golden Eagle Coins. If you want to buy gold online, it is the right place to be when you are online. They also offer bullion and coins. I think investors and collectors would definitely enjoy this site, especially those who are very much into coin collection. As for me, I am going to collect lots of good memories, for me that's as precious as gold coins [wink, wink].
