My officemate is planning to buy a new car for herself. What happened yesterday made her decide to finally plan for getting a car loan. Yesterday morning, she sent me a text message telling that she'd be late because her car broke down in the middle of the road while she' on her way to our office. I think it is really about time that she replace her car; its pretty old (big grin). She was trying to get my opinion whether she would proceed with her application for a car loan; we even try computing the loan interest, monthly amortization and the insurance. And after seeing the costs, I told her to think about it a million times (big grin). Apart from the high amount, she also need to take note of the time - she is going to pay for the car loan for 3 to 5 years. I try to make her feel better by saying that we can just source for discount auto insurance for her future new car and use the money that she would be able to save to pay for the car loan (big grin).
