New Year's Wish

I guess it is still not too late for me to add another item in my wish list this holiday season. Last month, I had a post that tells about my Christmas wish list. There are two posts actually, one is called Christmas Wishes.

I have a new item that I wanted to add (big grin). I longed to have a Chuck Taylor shoes. Here are the photos of the ones I like. Hopefully, a sweet and caring friend out there would grant my wish this New Year (fingers-crossed)(blusing)(big grin).

I love the color of this Chuck Taylor.

And this one too.

And this one? . . . I love it!

Missing My Cousin

I was talking to my cousin in Colorado the other night. She called to greet us this holiday season. My cousin's been living in Colorado for more than 10 years now. She lives there with her family. I truly miss them so much. They are supposed to come home for a vacation last summer, but unfortunately, there were changes in my cousin's plan. They had to postpone their vacation trip here in the Philippines. And since the kids were expecting a trip, she brought them to Vegas. They got nice pictures posted on my nephew's face book account (big grin). Anyway, I was telling my cousin that they should look at investing on RVs, since they love to travel. There are rv financing nowadays that offers good deals. It is a good investment since her family really loves to travel around. I hope she considers. She said she'll discuss it with her hubby. I really miss my niece and nephews. We were also able to talk to them on the phone; they are actually speaking at the same time haha... but it was a fun and sweet phone call from my cousin and her kids. Can't wait for next month's phone call (big grin).

Christmas Photos with My Nieces and Nephew

Pixel Bug weekend button 1

Here are more Christmas photos to treasure and I am proud to share these photos with you. These are my nieces and nephew. They are the son and daughters of my older brothers. And they are my weekend buddies that I always write about in my blogs.

The eldest is my niece IM. She is already in college taking up accountancy. She was an honor student when she was in her elementary school and high school. And when now that she's in college, she's a scholar of the University. I am proud to say that my niece IM is beauty and brains; just like her Tita (ahem!)(big grin)(no violent reactions please, after all, this is my blog, I can say and write whatever I want, hehehe...)

IM's brother is next. Meet my one and only nephew MA. He is in his 3rd year high school. And like his sister, he too is handsome and brains. Though he is not an honor student, but he surely has nice and high grades in school. MA is my techie buddy. He always help me with my gadgets and other computer stuff. MA is also a sweet boy, especially to his loving Tita (ahem!).

And the youngest amongst my pamangkins is HA. She is the only daughter of my elder brother. Yes, she is a SHE; though she looks like a HE, but definitely HA is a SHE (big grin). MA likes to wear boys' clothes and she always wants her hair short. She too is a very smart kid; she actually speaks english well. Though she's been in little trouble at school, her grades are good and high (big grin). And she is pretty too when she's wearing girls' clothes, hehehe...

I love my nieces and nephew (and our pet dog, Poochie). They are my inspiration and they keep me happy. I thank God for them. I thank God for these 3 Angels He brought to my life.

And by the way, they are my constant date on weekends. We usually go to the mall and dine in our favorite restaurant - Pizza Hut!

Jhudiel's Journal New Theme

A few weeks ago, I mentioned in one of my post about changing the theme of one of my blog - Jhudiel's Journal. An d this week, I finally decided to proceed with the changing of Jhudiel's Jounal theme. The photo on the left is the old widget for Jhudiel's Journal. I decided to change it too; to keep up with the new theme of my blog.

Jhudiel's Journal. It will try to share the wonderful journey through life. Be one of the witness as I try to chronicle each moment; share with me the adventures and dreams that are surely worth to be treasured.

May this journal inspire others. May this journal be the witness of how I try to enjoy living before kicking the bucket. This is my bucket list.

Christmas Party 2009 Photos

Last week was our office Christmas Party. It was held at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club, in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. Our theme this year is - Pointwest Rocks! We try to emulate the Hollywood Music Awards; and every employee was encouraged to come in the party as one of the Hollywood Singers, like Mariah Carrey, Neo, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Bono, etc.

Here are some of our photos during the party. I hope you enjoy them. While I was looking at these photos, it feels as if I was going back in time. We look like people from the 80s.. hehehe...

My Poor, Scared Poochie

Sharing here photos of my puppy doggie Poochie. He was scared with the fire crackers outside the house.

Poochie hopped into my Mother's chair and he sat on her lap after hearing the fire crackers. H e was shaking while sitting on my Mother's lap.

And the popping of the fire crackers continued, he looks like he's getting more nervous. He seemed more uncomfortable and restless on my Mother's lap. Poor Poochie (sad face). We were thinking of keeping Poochie in the bathroom for the New Year, so he won't be able to hear the loud fire crackers.

December 23, 2009

December 23, Wednesday, I think this day turned out to be a very different day. It is different because it is special (smiles) (blushing). My colleague/friend in the office would agree with me on this statement. She was actually part of it. Partly, she was responsible for making it a different day; for making it special.
We finished our tasks for the day at around 7pm. We decided to stay in the office for a while; there's going to be traffic on our way home for sure since its the last day of work for the week. And since we were hungry, we decided to eat at the TechPortal retail area.

So what made this day different and special? Something spontaneous happened that night. As my colleague/friend say it, it could be a start of something new, that could make 2010 a very different and happy year for me (wink, wink).

And if I may add, I have not felt that certain feeling of happiness for a long time since that night of December 23.

Dessert For Christmas

I prepared a ref cake yesterday. This will be our dessert on Christmas day. Sharing here some photos of my ref cake.

I used a can of fruit cocktail, peaches, condensed milk and cream; and of course graham crackers. I was able to make two medium size containers ref cake and 1 small container ref cake.

I was not able to take photos of the finish product (big grin). Maybe I'll try to take photos of it later. But I can tell you for sure that it will look good after its been chilled in the fridge.

Happy Holidays Everyone! Enjoy your sweet and delicious desserts this Season!

Yey! Thursday! - Lunch at Red Kimono

We usually eat lunch outside the office every Friday. But this week, my post is Yey! THURSDAY! instead of Yey! Friday! All of us has no packed lunch on that day, and so we decided to have our Friday lunch out a day early (big grin).

For this week, we eat lunch at the Red Kinomo Restaurant at the UP-AyalaLand TechnoHub.

And we would like to thank Tesa for paying for our lunch (big grin), Thanks Tesa! The lunch treat is actually Tesa's Christmas gift for us.

We ordered 3 dishes. I'm sorry I forgot the names, hehehe.. but we ordered one beef dish...

... pork dish...

and fish with mashed potato on the side.

We also ordered a plate of California Maki and Cheese Sticks!

The UP-AyalaLand TechnoHub is located along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City. It is near Philcoa and the Elliptical Road. I invite you to visit the place at night; the retail area looks good at night, especially the fountain area. There are a lot of restaurants where you can have dinner with your family and friends while enjoying the nice view of the water fountain. Hope to see you at the TechnoHub soon!

Cheap Insurance

December expenses does not only include christmas gifts, noche buena & medya noche meals, new clothes, new gadgets and all those material things that we wished and longed for the whole year. Last night my Mother was telling me that she forgot to allot a budget for our house insurance. They need to renew it this month. My Father heard our conversation and he too remembered that he forgot about the car insurance. Geez! And he too forgot to allocate a budget for the car insurance. I am not sure though if they are telling me about it because they are hoping that I would give them money to pay for the renewal of these insurances (big grin). But I remained insensitive (hehehe...), especially when I heard the amount. The cost of the house and the car insurance is quite significant. And to keep the conversation away from that possibility, I told my parents that we should have checked other parties that offers cheaper house insurance and cheaper car insurance; cheap insurances that will not sacrifice the coverage of the insurance plan. But they told me that they already got good discounts with the existing insurance parties. The good thing is, they did not ask me to lend them money to pay for it (big grin).

UP-AyalaLand TechnoHub, Retail Area

Sharing here photos of my office mates/friends from our Infrastructure Group. We bought snacks from the TechPortal before going home from work. The retail area at the TechnoHub surely looked more lively with all the Christmas balls around the ground and near the fountain area. There were also benches around the trees; and so we decided to sit here for a while and enjoy the nice sight... and take photos as well (big grin). Here you go, I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we've enjoyed taking them -

The christmas balls are like dinosaur eggs actually, hehehe...

The color changes every few seconds

Here are the Infra Guys posing like a Boy Band.

Hehehe....

Busy Saturday with the Family

I woke up early on Saturday. It is going to be a busy day today. I have several items listed on my To Do List for this weekend. I actually started writing them down Friday morning while I was on the train going to the office. I am not actually "writing" it, I am "typing" it to my new celphone. Yes, I am surely enjoying the notes and calendar features of my new phone.

And so for this week's PixelBug Weekend post. I am sharing photos of my Saturday activities using my new Nokia phone.

We went to the grocery store first. When I say "we", it means the whole family - my dad, my mom, my sister-in-law, my cousin, my nieces and nephew. That's We (big grin).

My sister-in-law does their own grocery; and same with my cousin. My Dad got his own grocery cart for our monthly grocery and I also got my own grocery cart for our Christmas and New Year grocery. I am proud to say (modesty aside) that I paid for our holiday season grocery (big grin) (blushing).

I bought my favorite ingredients for my spaghetti, green & black olives and capers. We are planning to cook spaghetti on Christmas. I requested my Mom to prepare chicken macaroni salad too. She prepares delicious chicken macaroni salad.

After grocery shopping, my niece and nephew went straight to the mall; while the rest of the family went home with our grocery items. And since its almost lunch time, we went to our favorite restaurant to have lunch first before we start our To Do list at the mall.

I ordered Fettucine A La King. My nephew had spaghetti with meatballs. And my niece order baked lasagna.

Here's what's left of the spaghetti with meat balls. We were so hungry we forgot to take photos first before eating (big grin).

And here's what's left of the baked lasagna. My niece eats fast. And she has a very big, as in, BIG appetite.

Here's my nephew, enjoying his spaghetti with meatballs.

And as usual, we ordered regular supreme cheezy pops pizza.

And bottomless Iced Tea.

After our delicious Italian Meal, we are off to department store to buy and complete the items in our To Do list. We spent five hours in the mall; and we were able to complete all the items in the list. We were all tired but we surely enjoyed our bonding moment.

The photos were taken using my new Nokia Phone. It has a built in 2megapixel camera. And it certainly take good photos.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend like I did with my family. Click on the PixelBug photo below to see more weekend photos. You are also welcome to share your weekend photos with us. Hope to see you next week at PixelBUg!
