Free Coupons - Weight Loss Diet

My niece and I went to the mall this morning. We bought shoes and shirts for my niece. She needs a new pair of shoes she can wear on Friday's in school. She told me that she also wants a shirt with the Philippines map embroidered on the left chest portion of the shirt; and so I bought her one. Anyway, while we were walking in the mall, a gentleman approached us. He was telling something about giving me a coupon for a 3-day trial visit to this certain fitness center that has a branch on the mall. I was hesistant to take it (the coupon) at first, because I am certain that he would start his "marketing" speech as soon as I grab that coupon. But still, I grabbed it (big grin); and I was right... he started telling me about the promotions of the fitness center, the discounts that he can give me if I sign up, the services available in the fitness center, the weight loss diet that they can prepare for me or that would match my requirement, and went on.. and on.. blah.. blah.. Until finally, he noticed that we are walking slowly away from him, he just requested me to sign my name on the other half of the coupon and indicate my phone number.

Truth is, I am really planning to enroll myself to a gym or a fitness center. The coupon he gave is really a nice opportunity for me (big smile). But I really need to think about it first; compare all the options I have; and of course, budget my money. Fitness Centers' fee charges are not that cheap.

  1. Hi Rhea, I just want to say I completely agree with you about going to a fitness center like the one you mentioned. Thing is, more often than not people tend to go there the first 2-3 months then stop for the rest of the year. Of course, you would still pay for the monthly charges wouldn't you? Fitness centers love this traditional psychological tendency of people, hmmm why o why? :) In any case, based on studies that are being performed these days, findings shows that the true key in losing weight and "maintaining" a healthy weight is in the food that we eat and not on whether we have a strong will power. Research shows that those cravings are affected by the glycemity of the food we eat - in laymans depending on the equivalent blood sugar of those foods. And the worst part is most of the common foods available have high glycemic which then to spike your blood sugar therefore making you feel satisfied right away but then also makes you hungry in a short period of time making you eat again. I can post so many things here and I can go on and on so I will stop for now, and will leave you this website so you can know more about the glycemic index - http://www.glycemicindex.com/ - this is a must know concept for diabetic people so I guess it can only help doesn't it?
