Weekend Bonding with My Niece and Nephew

We went to the mall early this morning. I was with my niece and nephew. We have a number of things to do for today's bonding session and so we decided to leave the house early. Our first stop is at the direct selling office, where I am working as a part time fashion consultant. I picked up a few ready-to-wear clothes which were requested by my cousin. Next stop, the mall. At his point, you can see genuine smiles in my niece's and nephew's faces.

Second item that we need to do today is to request for a new cellphone unit from my mobile phone service provider. I can already avail of the free cellphone unit from my service provider. The free phone promo is part of their retention program. They give free phones to their subscribers to keep them from terminating their celphone plans. Anyway, I was able to submit an application today, however the phone unit I requested is not available. I have to wait for 3-4 weeks. But that's fine with me. My existing phone is still working anyway.

After we are done with the celphone business office, we went straight to our favorite pizza and pasta house. I was trying to persuade my niece to consider other restaurants where we can eat our lunch. I asked her if we can eat to my favorite mexican restaurant; she said she doesn't feel like eating mexican food today and she's kind of expecting to have pizza and pasta today. Fine. Pizza and pasta it is.

Our next stop, home center area of the department store. It is time for me to buy new pillows. I am getting sick already with my existing pillows. As much I never want to let go of my favorite, old pillows, I have no choice. I have to let it go. Otherwise, I am going to have problems with my respiratory system. Anyway, after buying the pillows, we had ice cream from our favorite ice cream store. We ate the ice cream away while we were strolling around the mall.

Last stop, the grocery store. My Dad requested me to buy an air freshener for the car and soap for our dog, Poochie. After shopping for the air freshener and soap, we went to the shelves were all the ingredients for cooking spaghetti are located. I grabbed a pack of spaghetti sauce, one kilo pack of pasta, a bottle of capers and a bottle of black olives. I love olives and capers. I also eat them straight from the bottle (big grin). But I have to control myself; I want them for my spaghetti. My Mom cooked spaghetti last weekend; but I did not quite enjoy it because she used the Filipino style spaghetti sauce (big grin), I don't like sweet spaghetti that much. These ingredients I bought are for next weekend.

I can only share the picture of the spaghetti ingredients that I bought. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the food we ate at the Pizza and Pasta house. And I was not able to take pictures of the ice cream we ate; and pictures of my niece and nephew while they are playing with the interactive terminal inside the celphone business office. This is the only picture I was able to take. I used the macro feature of my camera and the automatic flash. The lighting was actually bright, but the back ground turned out to be dark. I guess that is the effect of the macro feature.

We had a fun time today. Although I was not able to capture it with my camera; but surely the fun memories will remain in my head and in my heart.
