Moment of Stillness

Last Friday, my colleague treat us for lunch. We had pizza and pasta (yum! my favorites). And after the sumptuous meal, I was so full that I was not able to focus myself to work (big grin). For a couple of hours I was trying to focus with my work. Fortunately I was able to complete a few items in my to do list. But still, I feel the pizza and the pasta are still floating inside my big tummy, hehehe...And so, as much I want to keep away from the forbidden area (I was forbidden to visit the area) of our office, I went to the smoking balcony, hoping that a few puff would somehow help the pizza and pasta settle inside my tummy.

As I was enjoying the magic stick, I was thinking of the other tasks that I need to complete for the day. But on my third puff, I noticed that the trees are very still. Everything was so quiet. The stillness took me away from my thoughts. Everything was still. I really find it strange because a couple of hours ago, it was raining. The wind was blowing swiftly with the rain. Everything was wet; everything was moving. The leaves on the trees were dancing with the wind. They seemed to be enjoying the small drops of rain carried by the playful wind.

I suddenly felt scared as I was looking at the trees. It looked as though the earth stood still. Now I am scared. I checked my watch. I really thought that the time stopped (paranoid?) (big grin).

Everything remains still. The trees are not moving. The wind stopped blowing. Nothing is moving. Everything is still. It was a moment of stillness indeed.

I continue to look around. Stillness. Everything looks peaceful, yet gloomy. Now I can imagine how its going to be like when the earth stood still. Peaceful yet gloomy.
