From Chicago with Love

I got this nice button from my dearest friend Jen. It is actually a magnet button. Nice, don’t you think? And I think it’s also sweet. I love the message written on it. It says –

Oh dear, now I’m feeling a little melancholy. I miss Jen so much.

Jen used to be my officemate. Now she’s living in Chicago with her parents and brothers. It has been more than a year since she left for the states. We worked together for almost three years; and we have developed an extraordinary friendship. We are more than officemates… more than a colleague. We have shared more than issues at work. We are best friends… sisters even.


Now I am carrying this button magnet around; since I am reporting to two sites – Quezon City and Makati. I just want her to be with me, wherever I am working at (big grin)… I would place it by my monitor; right just in front of me, so I can look at it all the time. Somehow, looking at it cheers me up. And when I read the message over and over, it assures me and tells me that – somewhere, across the ocean, someone so dear, loves me a lot; somewhere, on the other side of the planet, someone so special to my heart remembers.


Btw, Jen is one of the boobsie witches.
