Its Caloy’s birthday today. Happy birthday Caloy! Oops, wait a second, it is not my blog I’m talking about, it is the real Caloy who is celebrating his birthday today. If you noticed, I spelled “Caloy” without an “h”. My blog’s domain name is www.cahloy.com, it has an “h”. I will write a separate post why there is an “h” in my blog’s domain name. For the meantime, I am going to tell you who is Caloy and why Caloy. Some of you might be wondering why I named my blog’s domain to him.
Who is Caloy? Caloy is my dearest friend. His real name is Carlo. We’ve been friends since high school. Actually, I never called him Caloy when we were still in high school. I got fond of calling him Caloy just recently, I think lit was last year only. After graduation, he left for the US. But our friendship continued inspite of the distance. We write letters to each other, he would call me long distance and he would visit me in our house whenever he is on vacation here in the Philippines. We have been best friends for more than 10 years now.
Why Caloy? He is very special to me. Through the years we have developed a special kind of friendship. We’re best friends… best friends with benefits (wink, wink). He occupies a special spot in my heart, and it will always and forever be his spot, no matter what happens. He occupies a special seat in my life, and it will always and forever be his seat. Our relationship has been through a lot – distance, time and it has been put to test for several times. But still, we remain, our friendship remains. He has been my inpiration in writing, that is why I thought about getting my second blog's domain named after him.
To my dearest Caloy,
Happy birthday! I am thankful to the Lord that He gave you another year to enjoy life and find your happiness. I wish you good health. I wish you wisdom and faith; and I wish you love. I miss you! Mwah! Hugs!!
Love,
Reyapot
